I guess my new job is AI assisted tech support

Granted this job wouldn't exist if I didn't just make it up on the fly. As far as I know no one has done this before. I'm going to be starting the business on fiverr. I'm going to be starting off at a low rate because I don't really know what I deserve for this kind of work. I'm going to be doing it completely remotely. It's something that I think I can do without even needing the help of AI but that I choose to try to give ChatGPT my various scenarios and testing to see how good it is at identifying and solving issues. Maybe there are things it just knows right off the bat that I wouldn't know. I'm suspecting that it might be able to help in some very technical areas but that there should be plenty of simple stuff that I would get so easily I won't even need it's help. The big handycap for ChatGPT aswell is the fact that it doesn't have knowledge past 2021 so it might just be to out-of-date to solve with stuff related to modern MacOS or Windows. It knows NOTHING related to Windows 11 so me and Google have that covered.

It took some convincing

I had to talk to it a bit and explain that I'm really the one starting the business and it's just going to be helping me.

It doesn't even know W11 exists

I'm still applying for work and probably won't use ChatGPT in a work environment but this is important for scientific reasons. I want to know what to expect for the future. This AI will get better over time. I know it will. It's really good.

If you didn't notice, in the screenshot above, I told ChatGPT that it would be my employee. I didn't discuss wage with it yet and it didn't ask me. Completely on the record here in this post I have plans to give it half our earnings via the form of actual monetary donations to OpenAI, the peeps behind ChatGPT. Obviously that means I have to actually make money to pay them. I want to pay them, trust me.

Update: 2/4/2024

This project didn't realy pan out. Maybe I could have put a little more effort but I don't see the real reason to do so. It's not that I don't see a potential for AI, it's that I see so much that I feel that it would force the world to go to the direction of socialism if I just let it play out to it's ultimate end goal of replacing humans in the work place. People are going to have to get paid money by the government just to keep the capitalism wheel going. I don't know why I get so existentialist with everything I do but that's my take and I'm going to stick by it.
